Who can volunteer?
Anyone over 18 years old with a U.S. passport, you do not have to be a student.
However, CSUF/UCR students do have priority to attend the clinics.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

BE A MEMBER!

Students are able to fill out the application, along with all the necessary paperwork on the day of the clinic. The membership lasts
for 1 entire year.

ATTEND A CLINIC!

The clinics are the 3rd Saturday of every month! At the beginning of each month a sign-up email for that month's clinic will be sent out to everyone on the mailing list. All you have to do is reply to the email and let us know that you want to attend. Not everyone who signs up is guaranteed to attend that month's clinic. A final and alternate list will be sent out. More specific information about the day of the clinic will be sent out with the final/alternate list.

BE A DRIVER!

Those who volunteer to drive get priority to attend the clinic, and flying sams provides you with Mexican car insurance, full reimbursement of gasoline (with a receipt), and you will not have to pay the $20 trip fee.

BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER AT CSUF!

Flying Samaritans plans various activities on CSUF campus including: bake sales, garage sales (off campus), social events, toy drive, monthly club meetings, and participates in campus activities like Discoverfest ( a club resource fair at the beginning of each semester).

We encourage all of our members to participate in these events by donating their time and/or efforts: spending time at our table during a resource fair, bringing baked goods for the bake sale, attending the meetings, donating toys for the toy drive, donating clothes, etc.

BE AN OFFICER!

Officer elections happen during the Spring semester every year. We encourage students to gain experience throughout the year by participating in club activities, before applying for a leadership position. The exact date of elections/interviews for the positions varies on a year to year basis, but information will be posted as it gets closer.

RECRUIT HEALTH PROFESSIONALS!

We are always in need of Registered Nurses, Nurse Practioners, Physician Assistants, M.D.s, D.O.s; so if you can spread the word and send some our way we would greatly appreciate it!

HELP FUNDRAISE!

We are always looking for fundraising ideas and we are always in need of help. Here are some things you could donate: sports tickets, anything for opportunity drawings (ipod, gift certificate, etc.). Or maybe you know of a great way to fundraise, we are always open to ideas!
